The inner workings of the New Media Department at KearneyHub.com
Thanks to the suggestions of our users we have put more emphasis on news, sports and entertainment stories. Some users were not fond of the interpolation of opinions with news and sports and felt they needed less emphasis on the homepage.
As a result we removed the “all” and “opinion” section options from the main list of stories that sits below the featured stories lideshow. You can still see the most recent opinion and letters in the side rail toward the bottom of the page. Now the homepage loads with the local news section already selected.
We hope this update makes it a little easier to see local news, sports and entertainment from the homepage. Thanks again for all your feedback!
